The original SONNENGLAS from South Africa is a sustainable invention. The sun-operated solar lantern was originally developed in the townships of Johannesburg to bring light even where there is no electricity.

The socially and responsibly handcrafted SONNENGLAS has already received several design awards and combines green solar technology with nostalgic design.

The high-tech from South Africa works so easily

During the day, your SONNENGLAS collects solar energy via the solar cells and stores it in the integrated battery. With the small magnetic switch you close the contact in the evening - and your SONNENGLAS gives you bright light via four highly efficient LEDs.
