With this small sculpture made of red colored soapstone, you not only set a colorful accent in your home.

The writing in cursive handwriting is worked out of soapstone by craftsmen in Kenya, smoothed and dyed red. This creates a unique eye-catcher that is second to none. Thanks to the pure manual work, each lettering is a little bit individual.

Soapstone art from western Kenya

The processing of soapstone has a long tradition in Kenya. The soft stone is quarried in the west of the country, near the city of Kisii, and transformed into fascinating, small everyday helpers or sculptures. Look forward to this exceptional piece of African handicraft.
