"Radio Africa" radio set
Believe it or not, this township-style radio made from recycled materials really works! From wire and various recycled materials together with individual new parts, South African craftsmen have made a real, functioning radio that is powered by a 9V block battery (not included in delivery). Note: Please note that this radio is for decorative purposes only. This radio receiver may not be operated in Germany! If you are not based in Germany, please make sure that you are allowed to operate this radio device in your country.
Wire frame and elaborate decorations
But not enough that these township radios actually work. The artists in South Africa also thought of the eye: each radio was decorated with recycled beverage cans and the outlines of the African continent made of wire.
