Traditional ShweShwe fabric for your table

ShweShwe is a 100% South African cotton fabric made using traditional methods. The vibrant and durable fabrics exude African joie de vivre and are originally used for traditional Sotho clothing. The fabric used for the ShweShwe placemat is manufactured and hand printed near King Williams Town in South Africa.

Each placemat is padded with cotton wool and printed on the front only. The back is plain colored. In addition, the fabric is pre-washed to prevent shrinkage in the first wash. You can clean the placemats in the washing machine.

Dimensions: approx. 38 x 28 cm

Care instructions:

  • Wash separately
  • maximum 40°C washing machine
  • do not bleach, do not tumble dry
  • do not dry clean
  • warm iron

Please note that each of these placemats is handcrafted and printed in South Africa. For this reason, small differences are possible, especially with regard to dimensions and colouring.
